• Notice of Address for Service

    This form is used to inform the Court and the other parties in your case of the address at which court documents and notices can be served on you. You must file this form if your contact address (address for service) has changed.

  • Scam emails and letters

    We have received reports that some people have received emails and letters purportedly sent from the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. These letters relate to migration matters and outline asserted decisions of the Court. The correspondence attaches new invoice/tax invoice amounts and threatens cancellation of visa, application or court process if payment is not received. They include the Federal Circuit Court logo and appear to be signed by someone working for the Court. An example is below:

  • Family law fees

    The Court does not set the fees payable in the court. Fees are set by Federal Government Regulations - Family Law (Fees) Regulations 2022. The current fees are contained within the gazetted Annual federal courts and tribunals fee increases from 1 July 2025. GST does not apply to court fees.

  • Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS)

    Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS) provide support and legal help if you are affected by domestic and family violence and have a family law issue. Duty lawyers and support workers available in person Monday to Friday at the following FCFCOA locations:

  • Family Law Practice Direction: Major Complex Financial Proceedings List

    This Practice Direction establishes the pilot of a Major Complex Financial Proceedings List, which applies to any Initiating Application (Family Law) seeking financial or property orders pursuant to the Family Law Act 1975, that is a Major Complex Financial Proceedings List case (MCFP List Case) in the Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane registry or if appropriate to be managed electronically, a MCFP List Case in any other registry of the Court. The pilot of the MCFP List commenced on 1 October 2021.

  • Update to the profession: Consent orders forms updated

    The Chief Justice has approved changes to the following Court forms: Application for Consent Orders, and Annexure to Proposed Consent Parenting Order (Current Case). These forms have been amended in consultation with the Courts’ Family Violence Committee as part of the Courts’ commitment to improving and refining its processes.
