      The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (the Court) commenced on 1 September 2021. Below is a brief summary of the new rules of Court that govern practice and procedure in the new Court.
    • Children: We cannot agree

      This page provides a summary of the options available when you cannot agree on arrangements for a child (or children) and parenting after separation.
    • Natural disasters

      If you are concerned about the status of your family law proceedings while you or your former partner are managing immediate issues following a natural disaster you can consult the Court to enquire about the assistance we can offer you.
    • Reply

      This form is used in both family law and general federal law proceedings to reply to a respondents response or cross-claim when you wish to oppose the orders sought by the respondent or have the Court make other orders.
    • Submitting Notice

      This form is used if a party does not contest an application, response or reply.
    • Grandparents and others

      Grandparents Grand-parenting is a special relationship. Grandparents can help give their own children and their grandchildren the support they need, especially during and after family separation. Sometimes, grandparents take on a more permanent caring role for their grandchildren. There are some valuable resources available to assist with defining your role as a grandparent carer:
