    • Practice and procedure update: Family law Practice Directions

      As a result of the Family Law Amendment Act 2024 (Cth) changes commencing on 10 June 2025, and consequential changes to the Family Law Rules, there will be minor amendments to several family law Practice Directions. The new Practice Directions will be published on 10 June 2025.
    • Enforcement hearings (prescribed brochure)

      This brochure answers frequently asked questions about enforcement hearings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (the Court). An enforcement hearing allows a person who is owed money (the payee) to get information about the financial situation of the person who owes the money (the payer).
    • Practice and procedure update: Practice directions

      With today’s commencement of the Family Law Amendment Act 2023 and the Family Law (Information Sharing) Act 2023, amendments have taken effect to four practice directions: Central Practice Direction: Family Law Case Management, Family Law Practice Direction: Parenting Proceedings, Family Law Practice Direction: Financial Proceedings and Family Law Practice Direction: Critical Incident List. In addition, the COVID-19 List Practice Direction has been revoked.
