    • Media release: Court launches new videos in 12 languages to help to people in migration cases

      The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2) (the Court) officially launched three videos, each of which is available in 12 languages (including English). The videos form part of the Court’s overarching commitment to improving access to justice for culturally and linguistically diverse people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
    • Media release: Therapy Dog Poppy's 'woof of honour' as she is sworn into the Court

      The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (the Courts) have today launched the Court Dog Program. Thanks to the support and generosity of the Victorian Bar and the Victorian Bar Foundation, Therapy Dog Poppy, a fully trained court facility dog from Guide Dogs Victoria, will commence full time work with the Courts from the 4th of October by assisting litigants and children who are involved in family law proceedings in the Courts' Melbourne registry.

Guest speakers include the Honourable Mark Dreyfus KC MP, Attorney-General for the Commonwealth of Australia, the Honourable Chief Justice Will Alstergren AO, and Ms Amanda Thompson, President of The Law Society of Tasmania. Members of the local legal sector will also be present.
