General Federal Law Practice Direction – Admiralty and maritime proceedings
The purpose of this Practice Direction is to set out the practice and procedure of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2) (Court) for the case management of all proceedings brought under the Admiralty Act 1988 (Cth) (admiralty and maritime proceedings) in the Court.

The Attorney-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, the Honourable Mark Dreyfus KC MP announced today the appointment of Ms Tuskeen Jacobs as a Judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) (Division 2). Ms Jacobs has been appointed to the Brisbane Registry and will commence on 8 July 2024.

This form must be filed and served on the other party/ies in the proceeding and the Independent Children’s Lawyer (if one is appointed) by ordinary service, prior to the Compliance and Readiness hearing.
