Make a meaningful impact supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples navigating the Court system.

We are seeking a dedicated and culturally knowledgeable Indigenous Family Liaison Officer (IFLO) to help improve access to justice, enhance safety outcomes, and strengthen relationships between the Courts and First Nations communities.

The role

As an IFLO, you will provide culturally safe, trauma‑informed support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families engaging with the Court. You’ll assist Court users to understand processes, connect them with services, work closely with judicial officers and community organisations, and represent the Courts in community engagement activities.

About you

You will bring strong cultural knowledge, community connections and experience supporting vulnerable individuals or families. You communicate well, build trust easily, and work respectfully with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) family law and Court processes is essential.

What we offer

  • Meaningful, community‑focused work
  • A supportive and culturally inclusive workplace
  • Training, development and mentoring opportunities
  • Competitive salary and conditions under the Federal Court Enterprise Agreement
  • Flexible work arrangements (where operationally appropriate)

If you're passionate about supporting First Nations families and improving outcomes within the justice system, we’d love to hear from you.
