The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (the Court) has jurisdiction to hear and determine civil disputes concerning copyright (Copyright Act 1968), designs (Designs Act 2003), trade marks (Trade Marks Act 1995) and plant breeder’s rights (Plant Breeder's Rights Act 1994). This jurisdiction is concurrent with the jurisdiction of the Federal Court of Australia. The Court also has jurisdiction to hear and determine consumer law matters, and other disputes under the Competition and Consumer Law Act 2010.
