Angry (feeling fiery)
- What it might feel like: A hot, powerful feeling that can make your heart race, your face feel warm, or your muscles tense up. You might feel like shouting, stomping, or throwing something.
- When you might feel it: When you think things aren't fair, when you feel misunderstood, when plans change without your say, when someone breaks a promise, or when you feel powerless.
- What you can do: Take a few deep breaths (breathe in slowly, hold, breathe out slowly), count to 10 or 20, do some quick star jumps (or move your body in a different way), squeeze a stress ball, draw or write about what's making you angry. It can also help to talk to an adult you trust about what feels unfair.
