When decisions are being made, judges and registrars will meet with parents in a courtroom. Kids don’t go into the courtroom, but judges and registrars still want to hear from kids.
There are two main ways for judges and registrars to learn what kids think and how they feel.
1. By kids talking to a family expert
2. By kids talking to a children’s lawyer
It is the job of a family expert and children’s lawyer to tell the registrar or judge what kids are thinking and feeling.
