What happens next?

The judge or registrar will think about everything they’ve learned about you and your family. Then, if your parents still can’t agree, the judge or registrar will make a decision based on what they think is best for you.

This might mean that things stay the same, or it might mean that some things will change.

Sometimes the decision that the judge or registrar makes is not the one that kids were hoping for. When this happens it is because, after lots of hard thinking and listening to lots of different people, they have decided something else would be best for the kids.
